Financial Commitments
A commitment to giving on a regular basis
is the most effective way of ensuring a regular income for St Laurence Church
enables the Parochial Church Council (PCC) to plan ahead and budget with confidence
Planned giving can be by Standing Order or Weekly Envelope
Planned, regular giving can help you to:
incorporate your giving as part of your normal regular expenditure
meet the commitment undertaken even if you cannot get to Church
Planned giving by standing order helps church administration by:
reducing the need to open, count and record envelopes – and keep them for six years!
being more secure than taking cash to the bank
ensuring a steady, predictable flow of income for St Laurence Church regardless of attendance every Sunday
Gift Aid Declaration
Gift Aid allows charities to reclaim income tax of £2.50 on every gift of £10 received, whatever the amount. For our church to reclaim the tax, the donor must have paid sufficient income tax or capital gains tax in the same tax year to cover the amount to be reclaimed. All that you need to do is complete the Gift Aid Declaration form or select the appropriate gift aid declaration, provide your name and address and we can take care of all the rest.
This declaration covers all gifts, whether cash in envelopes in the collection plate, standing orders, cheques or “one-off” gifts. Whichever way you give, the church must be able to identify you as the donor, but all records remain confidential.

I promise to support the work and mission of the Church by giving:
Thank You
